Partnerships

We are pleased to announce our partnership with the Yemen Institute for Arabic Language (YIAL) in which teachers, ideas and students are exchanged as part of an ongoing collaboration between our institutions.

The Yemen Institute for Arabic Language (YIAL) is a teacher owned institute that offers a variety of courses from the beginner to advanced level in an environment where students are totally immersed in the Arabic Language. Students can choose to study Modern Standard Arabic, Classical Arabic, Yemeni Dialect, Arabic media, poetry and even calligraphy. Curriculums are tailored specifically to the student’s needs. YIAL teachers are experienced in teaching all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening, and will emphasize any of them at the student’s request.

In addition to the excellent level of instruction, YIAL provides all necessary services for a seamless study adventure in Yemen such as visa processing and renewal as well as free airport pick-up. The oustanding housing facility includes washing machines, kitchens, free wireless internet, satellite TV, as well as private roof and patio areas. The institute organizes trips almost every week to exciting spots outside of Sana’a including
Aden, Taiz, and the Red Sea coast. Speakers are brought to the institute regularly to give lectures on relevant issues such as the current political situation.

YIAL is unique in that the majority of teachers are also part owners in the organization. For this reason, the institute attracts some of the most experienced teachers in the country who have a vested interest in making the institute truly great. They are committed to keeping the institute small to ensure the highest quality of instruction. As a student at YIAL you have the opportunity to be a part of a small community of teachers and students who are completely devoted to the Arabic language. You will always have the option of joining the crew for activities or exploring the country and the language on your own. Either way you can count on the institute to back you up.
